Welcome to the blog of MQM 382: Section 2, Team 2!
The authors of this blog are Jeff Parrish, Kyle Hines, Michael Condupa, and Sean Morton.
During the course of the semester, we will be discussing leaders of social responsibility worldwide. By social responsibility we mean anything that an organization does in an effort to please its stakeholders through sustainable business practices. Our blog will cover topics related to leaders of for-profit and not-for-profit industries and organizations. Leaders are challenged to inspire and transform their followers to become committed to a particular cause or change in an organization. We will analyze how these leaders' successes and failures are relative to leadership theory and other concepts we cover in the course. We invite you to participate in this discussion through adding your valuable insights.
As potential leaders of organizations, you will be challenged to think outside of the box. Sustainability and corporate social responsibility have been hot topics in the business world for the past two decades. By being aware of the successes and failures of today's leaders in the realm of social responsibility, you will be afforded the opportunity to make more educated leadership decisions. These decisions not only add value to an organization but they can help to change the world. That's our purpose for this blog and we hope it challenges you to think about how you can contribute to leading the change.
